Enjoy the scenic beauty of Prayagraj on a boat trip down the holy river. These wooden country boats meander their way through the majestic landscape of Prayagraj. Ideal time for the ride would be sunrise and sunset, when nature is at its best you can plan your ride on the Ganges to have a view of the Akbar’s Fort, as you slowly row down to the confluence of the three rivers at Sangam. While you head towards Sangam don’t forget to notice the changing colours of the water below also above the sky is dotted with birds hovering over your boats almost encouraging and welcoming you as the original occupants of the confluence. It is simply an out of body experience.
The boats on the Ganges are equipped with cushions and mattresses with a canvas roof, (most of them). Boats are available on both sides of the banks and along the coastline of the river. Rates can always be an issue, haggling skills are put to good use in these circumstances.
